- I want to take this time to share about my own personal journey that has lead me to a full-time Team Beachbody Coach.
At the age of 5yrs old I experienced some learning difficulties. I was singled out from my peers as slow and different. I also joined my first sport, track and field. I was experiencing two very difficult emotions, the excitement of running and the disappointment, lack of self confidence at school. These conflicting experiences began to wear heavy on me, physically and mentally.
During my teenage years I continued to struggle to lose weight and feel a sense of belonging. My school grades suffered and my runner performance did as well. As a result of this I began trying every diet on the market. The distorted body images of myself became even worse. With the support of my family, I was able to communicate the pain in my heart. During this time I realized I was also afraid of being alone.
The moment that changed for me ….. I laced up my shoes and started walking. With every step became a mile, a jog became a run. The heel strike to the ground was my thoughts moving forward to endless positive opportunities. Being alone, ironically was the best feeling in the world. I could not run away from myself, I began to take myself as far as I wanted to go.
The running goals I set and accomplished, the weight that I shedded, the inner self confidence that was beaming out was so alive.
One afternoon my husband saw an infomercial called Insanity. These folks looked like athletes and I was inspired to look like them. At the age of 42, I knew I needed more than just running to stay in shape. I still needed to lose the last 20 lbs and while my heart raced just watching the intense infomercial, the challenge was on. With in the first 2 weeks I lost 8lbs and was truly addicted. I loved who I had become, more confident and strong.
Today I am proud to be called a role model, motivator, inspiration and a life coach. No matter the life struggles and handicap your dedication, determination and faith can take you above it all.
I decided to become a Team Beachbody Coach after a few people noticed the results I was getting from the Insanity Beachbody workout program. These people decided to purchase the program themselves as a result of my results! That was exciting and empowering to me, because though I’d never have dreamed in a million years that I would be a part of helping someone in their fitness journey, here I was, helping others out of pure enthusiasm! I found myself telling someone what worked for me, what I’d tried, what I’d heard someone else say worked for them, and giving encouragement. People helping people – from all around the country – working towards one common goal: Reversing The Trends of Obesity: Your Path to Success Runs Soul to Sole!
I am always looking for people to join my team – I’d love to hear from you if you think you might be interesting in joining my team!
